Canoe Hire is between Tangent Associates Limited and its customers.


Terms & Conditions of Canoe Hire between Tangent Associates Limited (us) and the customer (you).


The information you provide is required for our insurance purposes and for the safety of your group.


Our hire booking forms must be completed in full. We will not disclose any booking information to any other party or use the information for any other purpose. The information will not be stored in electronic form.


As part of the contract with us, it is your responsibility to ensure that everyone in your group is made aware of risks and conditions of hire operated by us.


All canoes, gear and equipment will be returned to us in a clean, undamaged state. Any losses or damage must be reported to us in full upon return of the boats.  All losses and damage will be charged for.


Members of your party are not permitted to use the buoyancy aids to go swimming, except in the event of capsize.  The equipment must be returned in a condition fit for use by our next customers.


It is your responsibility to accept that all equipment is in order before commencing hire.


You accept that you are fit and able to paddle.  This is for your own safety and enjoyment – and for the rest of your group.


Our minimum age for the hire of canoes is 2 years within a family group. Children under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult of at least 18 years old.


Should we find that any member of your group is, or intends to be, under the influence of alcohol or any other substances, the group may not be permitted to hire.


A buoyancy aid must be worn and correctly fastened by all persons whilst in the canoe.


We will not be liable for any injuries or loss whatsoever to you or your group. Furthermore we will not be liable for the loss or damage of your or your group’s personal belongings.
